joshua michael carro (b. 1982)
is a globally recognized multimedia artist, 2026 BMI TV & Visual Media Award-winning composer, MPSE-nominated music designer, percussionist, and producer. Operating at the vanguard of non-linear design, Carro’s work focuses on developing proprietary methods of graphic, indeterminate, and modular composition for instruments of any kind, extended through complex electro-acoustic systems and experimental visual elements.
His ongoing creative research bridges sound design, multi-channel electronic composition, music technology, the social-artistic behavior of networks, and a deep, daily discipline in North Indian Classical Tabla.
Carro’s singular sonic architecture has defined the aesthetic identity of major multi-billion dollar AAA game properties, including principal scoring for Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. His work across cinema and television has been featured on premier global platforms such as Netflix and National Geographic, with prestigious concert hall performances and national broadcasts worldwide. He also serves as the drummer and co-producer for Ascend the Helix, driving the project's extreme, hybrid approach to contemporary metal, sound design, and experimental production.
